Wasini Island is one of the most beautiful islands in Kenya, with a rich marine life.

It has been voted the third largest marine park reserve in the world.

 

We start our journey from your respective accommodation. Pick up from the south coast is at approximately 7:30 am and from the north coast the pick-up time is at approx. 5:30 am.

 

From North Coast we drive for one and a half hours and from South Coast we drive for one before we we arriveat Shimoni, the mainland of Wasini Island.

On arrival, we board a boat (DHOW) and set off in search of the dolphin spots.

As soon as we spot dolphins, the boat stops to see the sea mamals up close.

If we are lucky, we may also spot dolphins in the snorkeling area and swim with them.

 

After snorkeling, we head to a sandbank (at low tide). We refresh ourselves on the sand bank for a while before going back on board and heading to the restaurant for lunch.

 

Lunch is included: Fish (catch of the day), lobster, calamari, chicken and seasonal fruits served with rice, coconut sauce and sea weed.

 

Optional - after lunch we offer a village walk for those who wish to explore the village.

 

Finally, we go back on board to return to the mainland Shimoni, where our shuttle driver is already waiting for us.

The old port city of Mombasa is the gateway to many African landlocked countries such as Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Ethiopia etc. You also get a deep insight into the history during the time of slavery.

 

We start our excursion from the respective accommodation: Pick-up from the south coast is at approx. 7:00 am and from the north coast we will be picked up at approx. 8:00 am

 

After arriving in Mombasa, we first visit the famous FORT JESUS, which was first built on a rock by the Portuguese and later by the Arabs in cooperation with the British. Slaves were held in this fortress for some time before they were sailed to Zanzibar for further market.

 

After visiting the fortress, we drive to the oldest market in Mombasa. This market is known for its various spices, which are used both in cooking and as natural remedies. Afterwards we visit the landmark of Mombasa, the elephant tusks. Our next stop is a wood carving village, where all wooden sculptures are made by hand using traditional tools.

 

Finally, we have lunch and end the tour with a visit to Haller Park where we can see different species of animals such as giraffes, tortoises, crocodiles and crocodile feeding, hippos and different species of birds.

We will pick you up at your accommodation in Diani at 16:30 and take you to the Kongo River in a tuk tuk. The arrival point is a very special spot on the river, as this is where the ocean meets the Kongo River and merges into one another.

 

We have a walk on the sand dunes waiting for the captain prepares  the canoe boat for the boat trip.

The canoe trip provides a shallow and relaxed ride through the mangrove forests, as the boat is propelled by pure human  power without a motor (no emissions since we take care of the environment). From here you have a wonderful view of the various species of river birds and the tranquil nature.

 

At around 6pm the boat will stop to give our esteemed guests a good chance to view the sunnset

You also support the local community with this excursion, as the canoe captain and everyone involved ensure that the beaches are cleared of garbage and that nature is treated in an environmentally friendly manner. In addition, your contribution will support health care and education in the community.

 

The canoe trip takes about 3 hours.

Here you have a wonderful opportunity to explore the underwater world by taking a glass-bottom boat through the clear waters of the magical Indian Ocean. This spectacular excursion starts on the white sands of the famous and impressive Diani Beach.

 

Walk along the reef, rest on the sandbank that appears at low tide and disappears at high tide. Go snorkeling and mingle with the colorful fish of the Indian Ocean in our protected coral garden, and don't forget to bring an underwater camera with you to capture the beautiful memories of the underwater world.

 

For non-swimmers, it is a pleasure to see the most beautiful fish and corals through the glass bottom of the boat. Young children must be accompanied by an adult.

You will be picked up from your accommodation and taken to the beach at Diani. Here, you will board a canoe boat to go to a sandbank at low tide, which is submerged at high tide. The canoe boat is propelled by the pure power of the captain so that we can explore the water and the underwater world in the most environmentally friendly way. The magic of this sandbank lies in the fact that it is an insider tip and you can explore the coral reef in absolute peace and quiet. Because this snorkeling spot is rather unusual, you will experience an incredibly colourful underwater world. Discover zebrafish, lionfish, lionfish, moray eels, octopus, lobsters and many other beautiful fish. Lie down on the sandbank between your snorkeling sessions and forget all the worries of life.

Our offshore sport fishing starts at 6.30 am so that we can get to the fishing spot as early as possible. As soon as we are on board our boat of choice, we set off in search of the dolphins.

 

Our boats have a capacity of 4 to 6 people on a trip, although the departure time can be adjusted depending on the season or your wishes.

 

We assure you that you will enjoy the adventure with us on board our fishing boats, whether you are a professional or a novice fisherman, the species of fish we are likely to catch are tuna, sharks, swordfish, marlin, sailfish. You have the option of catching, tagging or releasing the fish.
